JAMMU, OCT 20: In response to widespread rumors surrounding the recent incident in Sohanjana area of Jammu district on Saturday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Sunday clarified the facts, urging the public to refrain from spreading misleading information. The police emphasized that their swift actions controlled the situation, ensuring public safety.
Jammu Police have addressed growing concerns regarding misinformation being circulated on social media platforms and messaging groups about the Sohanjana incident. Contrary to what is being portrayed in some online spaces, the police acted promptly and effectively, ensuring that there was no significant threat to public safety at any time.
Two separate FIRs were lodged concerning the incident, demonstrating the police’s lawful and responsible handling of the matter. The police’s rapid response helped de-escalate the situation, preventing any further disturbances.
