JAMMU, OCT 18: The Jammu Police have issued a rebuttal regarding misleading reports circulating in certain media groups about an alleged explosion in the Marble Market area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Channi Himmat. The police clarified that no explosion occurred, and the reports were incorrect.

According to the police, on October 16, 2024, at around 11:00 PM, a fire broke out at Anish Aluminium Shop in Marble Market, Channi Himmat. The fire was promptly controlled with the help of the police, preventing further damage. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and a report has been lodged at Police Station Channi Himmat.

The investigation into the incident has been entrusted to ASI Gulam Hussain of Police Station Channi Himmat. The police urged media outlets to verify the facts with responsible police officers before publishing such news.
